Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026. Applies to the website and the Chrome extension.
The short version
- We read your own LinkedIn profile, only when you click Scan, only to score it and tell you what to fix.
- We never post, message, connect, like, or change anything on LinkedIn, and we never see your LinkedIn password.
- We don't collect anything about other people, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- You can delete everything from your dashboard or by emailing hello@enigmareload.com.
What we collect
Account. When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn we receive your name, email address and profile photo URL. That is all those sign-ins provide; they do not give us access to your LinkedIn profile or network.
Onboarding answers. Who you are (e.g. founder, job seeker), what you want, and where your audience is.
Your profile. The text of your own LinkedIn profile, supplied by you in one of two ways: a PDF you upload, or the Chrome extension reading the profile page open in your browser after you click Scan. From the page we read: name, headline, location, follower and connection counts, photo and banner image addresses, About, Experience, Education, Skills, Featured, Recommendations, Languages, and the text and engagement counts of your recent posts.
Reports. The scores and findings we generate from your profile, kept so you can track improvement over time.
Technical. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept briefly for security and reliability, and privacy-friendly aggregate analytics without cookies-based tracking.
The Chrome extension
The extension has one purpose: read your own LinkedIn profile page and send it to Enigma Reload for a report. It runs only when you click Scan (in the extension popup or on our website). It does not run in the background, does not read other LinkedIn pages, other people's profiles, your messages, or any other website.
It needs permission for linkedin.com (to read the page you are on) and for enigmareload.com (to hand the result to your account and show your score in the popup). It stores only the state of the current scan locally in your browser.
We do not use your LinkedIn session, cookies or password, and no automated requests are made to LinkedIn by our servers. The extension reads what is already on your screen, in your browser, with your click.
How we use it
To score your profile, show you issues and fixes, and (as features launch) draft rewrites tailored to your reader. Scoring is rule-based and runs on our servers; where an AI model is used to draft text, your profile text is sent to that provider solely to produce the output and is not used to train their models under our agreements.
We may email you about your account and product updates; you can opt out of product emails at any time.
Where it lives and for how long
Data is stored in our database hosted on Neon (AWS, United States) and served through Vercel. Profile text and reports are kept while your account is active so you can compare scans. Delete a scan or your whole account from the dashboard, or email us, and it is removed within 30 days from live systems and backups.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors that run the service (hosting, database, email, sign-in providers), each bound by contract to use it only for us. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We will disclose data if required by law.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct or delete your data at any time. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to object or restrict processing and to complain to your supervisory authority. Write to hello@enigmareload.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Enigma Reload is for people aged 16 and over, in line with LinkedIn's own minimum age.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here and update the date above. Questions: hello@enigmareload.com. Enigma Reload, Lahore, Pakistan.
